Riet Debruyne is a Belgian photographer based in Amsterdam finding her way into the world of fashion photography. She graduated from the University of Applied Photography in Amsterdam with a (photographic) study that explores conceptual innovation in fashion photography. These images invite for free interpretation and only share a feeling and uses one single fabric. Hence the viewer is given the space to make his/her own translations from abstract fashion trends into actual garments. These images can be found on her website and in the GUP New Dutch Photography Talent 2017 book. While building her own portfolio and client list she is currently assisting many photographers such as Martin Sweers and Liselore Chevalier. Riet dares portraying her own feelings in her work but also values the intentions and wishes of her clients thus you find in her a very interesting partner to work with.
